Just Arrived! One of the most delicious Cabs from Santa Barbara we have ever had!!
The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon displays a rich garnet color. It opens with opulent purple and dark red fruit aromas of currants, black cherry and plum. Notes of bramble and cocoa harmonize with the vibrant fruit aromas. On the palate, the wine expressed fresh ripe berries, cassis, fruit leather and savory dried herbs. The soft dusty tannins create a supple medium-bodied finish with a lingering touch of vanilla. Enjoy this wine now or in a few years.

CALIFORNIA SQUARE WINES
Cabernet – From Paso Robles – Rated 90
This fruity, single varietal wine has flavors of blackberries, brown sugar and caramelized oak. The tannins are nice and thick, suggesting grilled meats for pairings
Chardonnay – Russian River – Rated 89
This widely produced Chardonnay is soft and oaky, with honey-infused vanilla, mango and Meyer lemon flavors. Awesome Chardonnay, creamy and easy to drink.
Red Blend – Paso Robles – Rated 88
Ripe, opulent blackberry, cherry, butterscotch and vanilla bean flavors mark this soft wine. You can drink it now with everyday fare like beef tacos and cheeseburgers
Dark red in the glass, its legs cascade slowly due to its concentration and power. Possessing aromas of licorice, dark fruits and vanilla, this theme carries through on the palate with loads of rich, wild fruit all wrapped in chalky, ripe tannins persistence and structure to support the concentration of flavor. A wine that boldly showcases the beauty of blending two varieties that match like hand and glove – delivering a memorable wine with loads of personality.

From the makers of the famous ChateauNeuf du Pape
La Griveliere Cotes du Rhone
80% Syrah, 20% Grenach
Well-balanced with aromas of red fruits and spices with mild hints of vanilla and earth. Rich, full-bodied and round in the mouth. The finish is long with mild tannins. Each varietal is fermented separately in concrete tanks, then aged in a combination of concrete and oak for 6 months, followed by 18 months in bottle.
THIS wine is precisely why I love my job.

Mourvèdre Rosé is made as a Blanc de Noir or “white of a red grape,” in the style of a white wine. The skins are removed by pressing before fermentation begins. The wine extracts a small amount of color, and a little of the astringent tannins, from the red grape skins. Juice is fermented slowly at cold temperatures to preserve the bright fruit flavors and halted just before the wine is dry.
Mourvèdre is a rare grape in California and this lovely Rosé presents with hints of pomegranate, cherry and plum.

Known for taking the road less traveled Michael David Winery has always stood apart from the crowd. Whether it be their outlandish brands and packaging or their quirky personalities, Michael and David are definitely on a stage of their own and this wine showcases just that. The fruit for this brute of a Cab comes from the original “super freak”, Michael Phillips vineyard located only a medicine balls toss away from the winery.
"One of the best labels in the wine business is no doubt Michael David's FREAKSHOW. It would probably take a half hour with a magnifying glass to study all the wacko freaks and characters on the label. It offers abundant notes of espresso roast, melted chocolate, and cassis, which jump from the glass! This is a big wine with plenty of color and richness, no hard edges." - Robert Parker
RELEAF ORGANIC BLEND -
from South Africa
Our favorite blend, Releaf - the ORGANIC Releaf Cab, Merlot, Shiraz is in stock!!
Releaf offers intense flavors of blackberry, cassis and vanilla spice. Merlot adds plum and red cherry notes plus a suppleness that balances Cabernet’s structure, while Shiraz adds a peppery blackberry pie characteristic. The blend perfectly balances the fabulous fruit flavors, structure, and acidity, yielding a wine with concentrated flavors and complexity.
I love my job!!!
